A Studio Between

SAC x FL Vol 1

Sessions Arts Club x Frieze London is a minimal space located in London, designed by A Studio Between.

For the Frieze London Art Fair, A Studio Between has designed a temporary restaurant in collaboration with Jonny Gent and Russell Potter of Sessions Arts Club. Located in one of the fair’s new social hubs, the restaurant offers a retreat from the energetic environment of the contemporary art fair, serving as a space to dine, meet, and unwind.

The design draws on themes of secrecy, cinematic ambiance, and the studio environment. Inspired by the back of an artist’s frame, the space features untreated cotton canvas as its central material. Three weights of raw canvas line the interiors, creating a series of layered spaces that filter light, enhance acoustics, and convey a sense of discovery.
